Today is National Hunting and Fishing Day. and in honor of this very coun-try, southern day, I had to post a few things. These are the items I normally see on ModCloth and think "who in the world would buy that..." I will rock something with a fish on it in a heartbeat, but a deer... not sure about that.
Not sure who in their right mind would want this sweater for $72, (or even for $12...) but the name "Bucky-y Charms Sweater" made me LOL (and I see that there is only 1 left, so apparently someone liked it!)
Back to my love of french fries.... How cute is this?!? My sister got me one a couple of weeks ago and I had to go back and get a complete set. I'll be eating my grilled cheeses (and french fries!) in style on these!
Linking up over at the Belles of Saturday to share a few Gameday pictures from this past weekend. Good news is we won. Bad news is that even though it was in the 80's on Thursday, by Saturday at 1pm when I got out there to tailgate, it was COLD. Like see your breath cold. I had a new, beautiful one-shoulder red dress from Vestique to wear, butttt that wasn't happening. Instead I wore two coats, a long sleeve shirt, 4 pairs of socks, and my Hunter boots. and I wish I had of had gloves. I know I am cold natured, but even the guys were talking about how cold it was. Not real sure what I'm going to do for our games in November...
Today I am linking up with {av} of {long distance loving} for Friday's Fancies. The theme for this week is Gameday Chic!! This makes me very happy, I can't wait to see everyone's gameday looks! Below is the outfit I would love to wear for our game tomorrow. But the high for the day is supposed to be a whopping 63 degrees and raining (and then back in the 80s a few days later...) so I'll most likely be rocking jeans and my Hunter boots to this game. That is a back view of that dress, how pretty is it!?!
If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know that I am obsessed love french fries. I came across this today while cleaning out my email and I had to share it. It hangs on my fridge at home and at my bulletin board at work.
This weekend I went to our game at Wake Forest. There was way more red in the stands than black, but unfortunately, the number of fans you bring to an away game doesn't put any points on the board... It was an ugly game and we lost. I won't go into all the details (because it'll get my blood pressure up again) but we have a WHOLE LOT of work to do. The only thing that was positive was our kicking game. Below are the pictures I took. I played cornhole the whole time we tailgated and failed to get any pictures of tailgating and I certainly wasn't in any kind of mood to take any after the game, so these are all I got. At least it was a pretty day....
There was WAY more red in the stands than black.
There was an air show going on near the stadium during the game. It was pretty awesome to see this stealth bomber fly by...
I was trying to get a picture to show you all the pastel colors in the student section, but it's kind of hard to see. I've never seen so many pastel colors at a football game in my life....
On another note, I saw this commercial last night and it may be one of the best commercials I have ever seen. It makes me want to switch to State Farm insurance ASAP. Watch it, trust me, it will not disappoint... God Bless the USA, we will never forget what happened 10 years ago!
This t-shirt just made me laugh out loud so I had to share it with you. It's way too girly for me (I like their football t-shirts better) but I love the saying. Reminds me of some old school rap music!
Lately I have been all about statement necklaces (although I feel like simple necklaces have been on a mega comeback...) I got a few this past summer and wore the hech out of them and now I want some fall ones. I just don't want to pay for a fortune for them since, after all, they are a "statement" and you can't wear them that often.
Below are a few I'm loving right now. Where have you found good statement necklaces?
Today I'm linking up over at The Belles of Saturday to share my tailgating pictures from the NC State game this past weekend. I am SO GLAD that football season and tailgating are back! Being inside of a college football stadium is one of the greatest feelings ever. Below are some pictures from yesterday. Thanks to my cousin Laine for taking most of these (she has a fancy camera!)
