Quality Beach Town Time

I got to spend some quality time in two of my favorite beach towns this past week and weekend.  Wednesday through Friday I was in Beaufort.

This was my view at lunch on Wednesday.  I ate on the Beaufort waterfront. It's one of my favorite places to be... (This is a a trusty pic from Instagram. Yes, I have finally jumped on the Instagram train, I'm way late.  Follow me at janamoss)

Boats on the Morehead City waterfront

I got to venture out to the beach on Wednesday and spent way over an hour looking shells!

On Friday I headed to Wilmington to spend the weekend with my best friend Carmen.

Decked out in a nautical outfit for a night out!

On Sunday we headed out to Dockside for an afternoon on the dock and by the boats

I had a great time in both places and can't wait to go back soon!

Jewelry Organization

My good blogging pal, Sarah Elizabeth, over at Belle in the City, posted a few months ago about how she organizes her jewelry.  We joked about how we both have FAR too many statement necklaces so I thought I would share how I organize my jewelry.  Not that I wasn't aware of this before, but as I was taking these pictures I realized that pretty much my entire jewelry collection, minus about 3 things, is nautical...

I keep my bangles in this conch shell I got a while ago at Urban Outfitters

After my trip to market last week, this collection has grown.. Pictures of my new finds to come.

I also got the coral branch jewelry stand at Urban Outfitters a few years ago.  I love it!

I use this tray I found at TJ Maxx to lay out my favorite earrings so I can easily spot then when I want to wear them.

Sea It...Love It.. - Sea Inspired Bangles

I am in love with the beauties below.  I think they would make a great addition to any stack or arm party. (I'm prettty sure the blogging world, with the help of Emily Maynard and her famous love of bracelets, helped to coin the term stack and arm party!)

Octopus Bangle

Sea Urchin Bangle

Starfish Bangle
The starfish bangle may be my favorite out of all of these, but I couldn't find a picture of it alone.

Megan's Wedding Weekend

To say that Megan's wedding weekend in Charleston was amazing would be an understatement.  I had an absolute blast. I got to spend both nights on the water, got to take a long boat ride from the wedding to downtown Charleston, and got to hang out with some amazing people.  That makes it an A+ weekend in my book!!  I don't want to steal her thunder with posting my pictures before she gets to, but my trusty iPhone pics won't hold a candle to the ones her photographer took.  It was the prettiest wedding I have ever been to.  She set the bar for my one-day, nautical themed wedding pretttty high.  I have been a bad photographer lately and forgot to take pictures at the rehearsal dinner, so below are a few I took at the wedding.

Loved the nautical rope she used in the candles

Me and the beautiful bride!!

The sunset was absolutely breathtaking...

Cheers to Megan and Cameron! I hope you are having a blast on your honeymoon!

Sea It...Love It... - Nautical Scarves

I have been on a nautical scarf kick lately.  I don't remember in past years there being so many great nautical scarves out there, but there surely are this year!  It's not quite time to start rocking my all out nautical dresses and jewelry, but throwing on a nautical scarf is the perfect addition to a spring outfit.

{Let me know if you've seen any nautical scarves lately and I'll feature them in a post!}

I picked one up similar to the one below at the Banana Republic Outlet back in the fall.  I, of course, love the coral color

Coral Starfish Scarf

I ordered this next one from Preppy and Personalized on Facebook, but I just found it on ModCloth as well.  I love the color and love the cute crabs on it!

Funny story behind this next scarf.... I got it when I went to market.  I love the color and print, however; I did not like that it was crinkly. Sooo I took it upon myself to iron it.  If you ever get the inkling to iron a scarf, I would make good and sure it's on low heat, because this beaut now has a nasty hole in it... I still wear it, I just have to hide the hole.

Blue Starfish Scarf

I am in love with this Lilly print below....

I spotted this lobster scarf on ModCloth and I love the print and colors
