This Weekend

Today I am headed down to Charleston for Megan at Fried Green Pickles wedding!  Back in August we had her bachelorettte party at Wrightsville Beach.  It was a blast and I can't wait to see her get married and to celebrate with these girls again!

Have Any of Y'all Tried...

Dr. Jart's Black Label Detox BB Cream?

{via}

Due to having the most sensitive skin (on my face) south of the Mason-Dixon line, once I found that Bare Minerals worked really well on my skin and didn't break me out, I haven't switched.  But I have heard people raving about this product.  It is supposed to be very good for your skin and very lightweight.  I wanted to see if anyone else with super sensitive skin has tried this and if it caused any issues?

next, I am in need of a good eyeliner.  One that won't dance down my face after two hours of wearing it.  Suggestions are much appreciated!!  My good ol' friend, Sarah Elizabeth, over at Belle in the City, and I, had a good, long texting convo last night about makeup and she gave me a few good ones to try.  She said she likes the e.l.f. Studio Cream eyeliners.  I might have to try one of these.

Sea It...Love It... - Nautical Dinnerware

I came across this nautical dinnerware in one of my google searches.  While I wouldn't want a whole collection of it, I do think it would be mighty pretty to mix in with some solid white dishes in the summer!

Ready for Summer...

It has been cold and rainy and windy and dreary and well you get the point... for the past week or so in NC and I am some kinda ready for it to warm up.  It was warmer in January and in February than it has been in March...

I've seen this a few times on Facebook and I totally agree!! {via}

Goodbye to Google Reader

I am probably late to the party on this one, but come this summer, there will be no more Google Reader.  I have seen some of your posts about making the switch over to Bloglovin' and I have decided that I will be making the switch Bloglovin' as well.

When I first saw that Google Reader was going to be no more, I was a tish sad, but now, I am STOKED to go to Bloglovin'.   Google Reader has been a PAIN in the last year.  Am I the only one that thinks this?!  The blogs I follow have no order to them and it won't let me clean up my blog list in any way.    After looking around on Blog Lovin', I am thrilled that it looks simple and easy to use and lets you follow and manage blogs very easily.  I love reading all of your blogs and staying up to date on fashion and new trends (because lets be honest, finding out about new trends via blogging is where it's at) but my Google Reader has gotten out of control and makes it hard to do this.

So all this being said, I am going to take down the link to follow me on Google Reader and replace it with a Bloglovin one.  (You can click the link below to find me on Bloglovin'.)

I am also going to begin the process of following all of your blogs via Bloglovin'!

Tunic Love - Tunics for Minis

Yesterday I posted on the precious flamingo tunic for little girls from Mud Pie.  Today I am featuring another line of tunics for girls; these from Gretchen Scott.  I have loved Gretchen Scott tunics since the very moment I first laid eyes on one.  The bold, bright, and super nautical patterns draw me in every time I see one.  I was excited to see that they've added "Mommy and Me" tunics to their collection.  (I am not a mom, but close to 131 of my girl friends have had little girls lately and I work in the children's clothing industry, so I have reason to stay on top of good clothing for little girls)  Below are some of my favorite "Mommy and Me" Gretchen Scott tunics.  How cute are they?!

I had to include this one... I have def never seen a dog wear a tunic.  So cute!

Tunic Love - Mud Pie

Y'all have heard me say time and time again how much I love me a good tunic... I am obsessed.  Well imagine how floored I was when I walked in a children's boutique last week in Columbia, SC and saw the beaut below.  I swear it spoke to me.  The print, the coral, polka dot neck, the bell sleeves with ric-rac... The only problem is, I can't wear it, it's for little girls.  But I am stoked that the tunic look is making its way into the children's clothing world!

Sea It...Love It... - Target

I always get excited to go in Target around Jan/Feb/March (well, really anytime of the year) but specifically then because that's when they put their nautical stuff out.  This year has been no exception.  I had about 38 friends to let me know that their nautical jewelry collection was out in December.  (I had already seen it, but I am so glad that people think to tell me when they see nautical things!)   I can't seem to find any of the jewelry online but below are some other nautical inspired pieces that I am loving.

I really, really want these pillows but can't find them at any Target!!!! Apparently everyone else liked them too...

Maybe some people think this is supposed to be a tree branch, butttt I think it's coral.  I have one like this in white and I love it!

Crazy for Coral: Makeup

How beautiful is the face pallette below?!  It might be pretty but I would never pay $79 for one thing of makeup... and two... it's too pretty to use.  I am the girl who hoards pretty notepads in my drawer because they are "too pretty" to write on.  I am trying to get better at this.  Life is too short not to use the pretty makeup or pretty notepads right?

Sea It...Love It... - Old Navy

Old Navy really stepped up their nautical game last year with those sailboat print shirts and shorts.  I'm excited to see they are continuing with some nautical pieces this year!

More on Market...

Another perk of market is that, even as an exhibitor, you get some of the same benefits as buyers.  Before my flight on Monday, I headed back into the mart to walk around and to scope out some of my favorite brands.  I also came across some nautical brands that are new to me (more on those to come!)   When I got to the 7th floor, which contains some "cash and carry" jewelry sores, I made a beeline for a store called Golden Stella.  This is one place where a lot of our favorite online boutiques get some of their jewelry from.  Below are some pictures from my day -

Loads of necklaces and earrings

starfish scarves

coral necklaces!

This was a different store.  Also with very pretty stuff!

I, of course, loved this!

and this...

Below are pictures of the showrooms for some of my favorite brands. I didn't have much time, so I didn't get to very many
This is a little blurry, but this was the Gretchen Scott showroom.  Nautical tunics galore!

The Lilly showroom had already closed down when I made it past there.  But I still had to get some pictures.

This is one of my favorite brands, Malabar Bay.  There is kind of a funny store behind me getting to see their showroom.  It was in a different building than the apparel market is in.  and I wasn't exactly supposed to go to the other buildings.  But, of course, in pursuit of getting to see their new seahorse pattern in person, I ventured over to building two and gave a big smile to the security guard before heading upstairs.  I totally looked out of place, being that the building is basically empty when it's not market time, but I made it!

The seahorse pattern I wanted to see is hanging up top... Loved it!

In the next couple of weeks I will be showing y'all a few new (nautical, of course) brands I came across at market!
