4th of July/Family Vacation

Here are loads of pictures from the 4th of July and my week vacation at the beach.  I, thankfully, got to do a lot of beachcombing, boating, sunning, and socializing.  I wanted to show you my beachcomning treasures but they are currently "airing out" outside after stinking up my car and entire house... Once they lose their sea fragrance, I will share those as well!

Alive at Five in Morehead City

Boating out at Shackleford Banks

Sporting my new Mud Pie coral cover up!!

The largest. conch. shell. EVER.

Look how big the conch was.... The people that found it spotted it right off their dock.  I would totally dive in after something like this if I ever saw it...butttt I would've put it back since it was alive.

I was mesmerized....

Night out on the Morehead City Waterfront

If you need a good bandeau top, I highly, highly recommend this top from the Forever Sexy collection at VS. It has underwire...enough said :-)

We went here on Sunday to get clams

Look at all the shells...

The guys got clams for dinner (of course we all know I didn't eat any) and then ended up sharing with our neighbors because they had more than you're allowed to keep

I. heart. boating!

Family vacation!

Alos, I found out that Pink Lou Lou from, Cofessions of a 20 Something, was at the sameeee beach I was at the sameeee time I was! We were both at the Morehead City Waterfront on Friday night, literally like 20 steps apart. I saw on her blog that she had been in Morehead City/Emerald Isle after she had already left and I was super sad to know how close I came to meeting her. I LOVE her blog and everything she has to say.  Click on the link to read about her NC beach adventures.

What a wonderful vacation you had! I've never been to NC. but now I know where to head when I do make it there!

The shell you showed is a Lightening Whelk, one of my favorites. Thank you so much for saying you would've returned it to the sea! Not collecting live shells, insures they'll still be around for future generations to enjoy.

Your coral coverup is wonderful and looks adorable on you! I went to their website and fell in love with the matching flip flops, so cute!
