I named this post "Two of My Favorite Things" because I am about to talk about the color navy and my favorite shoe, Mr. Jack Roger. Literally two of my favorite things (right up there with football, the color coral, french fries, potato chips, the coast, and summertime)
I spied these bad boys a couple of weeks ago and CANNOT stop thinking about them.... (Maybe I missed that they've made solid navy Jack Rogers before, but I don't remember ever seeing them)

What do y'all think of these? I'm trying to think of how often I would wear them... I had been thinking about getting a black pair to mix in with my metallics, but then I saw these... and I mean if I'm going to get a dark color, why not get navy??
They would certainly look good with the loads of coral I have in my closet. With pink, orange, aqua, and 99% of the nautical items I own. and they'd look good with white pants and shorts.
and while we are on the subject of Jack Rogers, I actually cannot wear them at the moment because of this small mishap that's on my foot. This would be the not so favorite thing.
A word to the wise. If you own a floor length mirror, and it has came out of the frame (1st red flag), throw the durn thing away. (I'm probably the only person who would keep this) A few weeks ago I was trying to straighten my hair and because it takes like 30 minutes I sit in front of a floor length mirror to do it. and while I was getting the mirror out from under my bed (it's under there because it's ugly, 2nd red flag) I pulled it into my foot and sliced it pretty good. The stitches are now out, butttt it's infected. (The picture I shared with you above is mild compared to what it's looking like right now) Due to the whole mirror slicing foot incident and the placement of the straps, I cannot wear my beloved Jack Rogers right now. Wearing closed-toed shoes while it's 80 degrees in late April is driving me crazy, but I keep telling myself it's just temporary.
Dear right foot, please get better before Friday because we are going to the beach and I know you don't want to make me rock closed-toed flats at the beach! I don't want to have to force you if you're not ready, so let's go ahead and get better for the sake of nautical fashion.
Kindly, your owner Jana
