Sea It...Love It... - Urban Decay

As I said in Saturday's post, I went to an engagement party this past weekend at the beach.  (It was a blast!)  In preparation for this party, the bachelorette weekend, and the wedding, I have been on the hunt for products that would help my makeup stay on and look fresh for the duration of these events.  I'm not a fan of how my makeup looks good when I leave the house and then fades or wears off after a few hours.

For the party, I tried out two Urban Decay products I had seen great reviews on and LOVED them!!

The first is, Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion.  I have NEVER been able to get eyeshadow to not crease, that is, if it's still on after 2 hours.  I put this and my eyeshadow on at 5:00 and 8 hours later, my shadow looked exactly like it did when I put it on!  I was shocked! No creases and the color was just as vibrant as it was 8 hours earlier.

The next is an Urban Decay setting spray, All Nighter.  You spray it on your face after you put your makeup on and it is supposed to set it for up to 16 hours.  I was pretty skeptical about using this and was hoping when I sprayed it on that my makeup wouldn't run down my face, but much to my suprise, my makeup stayed put the entire night.

(They make a $9 sample bottle that I bought to try before buying the larger bottle)

I would highly recommend both of these products! What are some good makeup primers that you've found to work really well?

Below are two pictures from the night.  One of the girls before we left and one is of the centerpieces at the party (which you know I LOVED!)

Nautical Memory - Morehead City, NC

I'm at the beach this weekend for one of my best friend's engagement party!! Glad to be near the ocean, but too bad it's not warm enough to lay out or look for shells... Below is a fav nautical memory from one of my trips to Morehead City!

Big Thanks to Texas Prep!!

Big THANKS to Texas Prep for a Follow Friday spotlight of Seashells and Southern Belles on her blog today!! Her blog is one of my morning reads and I was very pleasantly surprised when I went to her site today. If you don't already follow her, you should check her out! I heart the state of Texas and I heart Texas Prep too!

To all my followers, new and 2 weeks old, thanks!  I really appreciate it!

Below is what she has on her site:

Here are 3 blogs that I discovered this week that are absolutely adorable!

Etsy Football Finds

I was on Etsy yesterday looking for a football-related baby shower gift and came across some of the cutest stuff! If you follow my blog for long, you'll learn that I am almost as obsessed with football as I am with seashells!  (Too bad football doesn't rhyme with seashells or southern belles...) I am very sad that Sunday is the last day of football until fall (and for the NFL, if the lockout happens, only the good Lord knows when we'll see a game again...)  So, this post is in honor of the Super Bowl and my favorite sport!  Side note - My team, the Carolina Panthers, literally were the farthest from making it to the big game.... Anyways, below are some of my favorite Etsy football finds for kids.

This was the only good picture I could find of a team shirt and tutu.  I love this look, but I'm not partial to the team :-)

Sea It...Love It... - Fornash Jewelry

Earlier this week, I came across a pair of elephant Fornash earrings on Monograms and Manicures.  I had seen this brand before, but had no idea they had so many great nautical pieces! I pretty much like the whole jewelry collection!

VS Swim 2011

I know it's only the second day of February and that most of our wonderful country is cold, if not covered in snow.  But.....the 2011 Victoria's Secret swim collection is out and, as always, it is H-O-T.  While I am nowhere ready to actually put on a bikini, that doesn't mean I haven't already fell in love with a few.   In fact, I fell so quickly for the coral, sand dollar one below, I ordered it the day I saw it.  It now is currently residing in my dresser, waiting patiently for warm weather to arrive.  Below are a few of my favs from the collection this year.

Crazy For Coral - Coral Throw

My sister gave me the coral throw below for my birthday this past year and I absolutely love it!  For one, I am madly obsessed with anything in a coral print or coral colored and two, it's really warm and adds some color to my living room.  She got mine from TJ Maxx (I know at one time they had a lot of nautical throws like this) but I found that overstock.com has them.  The picture isn't great, but you get the idea :-)
