One Shouler Love!

If there's one thing I love (you know other than the ocean, anything nautical, the color coral, football, french fries...) it's a one shoulder dress (or one shoulder anything)!!  Even if you've only been on my blog a few times, you've probably seen a one shoulder dress on here.  It's my favorite fashion trend....ever! My prom dress senior year was one shoulder and so was the shirt I wore in my senior pictures.  I had several one shoulder pieces in high school and then when I went to college, I feel like the one shoulder look went out of style.  Or it at least it was hard to find.  So I have been very pleased that the past few years one shoulder stuff has been everywhere.  I know some people may think it's too trendy, that it's played out, or are just plain tired of it, but in my eyes, rocking the one shoulder, asymmetrical look will never go out of style! I doubt I'll be in any shape to rock one shoulder anything when I'm 80, but best believe, if I can, I will be doing it!

The La La Love dress from LuLu*s is one of my favorite go-to one shoulder dresses.  They continue to get them in, in several colors and restock them often.  Here are a few of the colors they have now.   (I got a navy one to wear to a rehearsal dinner in April.  I can't wear to pair it with my gold JRs and my long, seahorse necklace)

Nautical Memory - Wilmington

This weekend I am in Wilmington visiting my bff Carmen!  I can't wait to eat at our favorite restaurants, talk about all our favorite tv shows (she's the one I make the spreadsheets with!), shop til we drop, and visit the Wrightsville beach bars!  Maybe we'll run into some One Tree Hill stars along the way... Below is a favorite picture from our 24th birthday.  (Yes, we have the same bday!)

Friday's Fancies #2

Today, I am again linking up with {av} at {long distance loving}, for Friday's Fancies!  (The idea of Friday's Fancies is to create dream looks without worrying about how much it costs, so it's a lot of fun to say the least!) In honor of the Oscars, the idea for this week's Friday's Fancies was to put together our dream red carpet look.  I created these these two looks and then couldn't decide between the two of them, so I included them both!  We all know I had to throw in some nautical accessories...

Sea and Southern Style - Chambray

In my internet browsing/shopping over the past month, I have noticed a trend that I'm really liking.... and it is....chambray! One of my blogging bff's, Buckhead Belle, noticed it as well when she posted this!  I worked in a children's boutique in high school and in college and noticed a lot of chambray blue dresses over the years for infants and children.  I always loved the look, so I'm really happy it's going to be easy to find this year for adults!

Below are a few favorite chambray pieces I've come across (I found so many I liked that Part II is coming tomorrow!)
