Savannah!

{via}
  This weekend, I am going to Savannah for a bachelorette party for one of my best friends.  I can't wait to shop, dine at fabulous restaurants, and party to celebrate her getting married! We, of course, plan on eating at The Lady and Sons and have a few other recommendations, but I would love some more suggestions!  Have any of you ever been?  If so, what were your favorite things you did?  What restaurants/bars would you recommend?  I appreciate the help!

Ah...my second "hometown." Or third if you count Charleston! You must go shopping on Broughton Street. There are some fun boutique and traditional stores. Stop by Fabrik for some designeresque pieces on the cheap. I know the owner and she is wonderful! There is a fondue restaurant on Broughton called the Melting Pot. Delish!

Stop by City Market - near Lady & Sons - for some bars and a little shopping. There is a Wild Wings in City Market that would be a good place to get dinner and drinks the night you do you "big" night out. River Street has endless bars and restaurants to peruse. I would recommend Hueys, Wet Willies, & Spankeys. The Shrimp Factory on river street is my favorite seafood restaurant in Savannah.

Y'all are going to have a wonderful time!

You must eat at Fiddler's on River Street. The best crab legs/ oysters/ drinks you can get! Have fun!

We like Vinnie Van GoGo's in City Market for pizza. Get to Lady & Sons early to get your name on the list!! The Mansion on Forsyth Park has a restaurant (700 Drayton) and a rooftop terrace lounge that is open at night with live music. Ya'll have fun here...watch out for those Army boys :) -Erika

I haven't been to Savannah since I was a kid but one thing that really stuck out in my mind was a haunted Savannah tour we did (in a horse drawn funeral buggy with black fringe) that was really fun! It was a great (and fun) way to learn about Savannah's colorful history :)

I used to work in Savannah and there is a great place near the civic center. It's an art shop/cafe and it's so good! (It's on the same street as mellow mushroom). I also love to walk around the design area there. So many cute shops.

oh my goodness! You are going to have sooo much fun! Savannah is one of my favorite places! I most definitely recommend Vic's on the river (more upscale, fabulous food (scallops are amazing!) and the pirate house (awesome food (ribs, steaks) but more casual atmosphere). Lady & Son's is good but it's nothing like grandma's cooking. I also recommend going to the Savannah bee if you like honey.. they have some tupelo honey that is to die for. There is also an awesome bar on the top of the bohemian hotel that has some great views of the river. There are also some awesome boutiques. I also recommend doing one of the horse and carriage tours of the city. Have fun!!

xoxo.

Fun! Let me know how you like it... I've never been to Savannah even though it's right down the road. We never go because everyone here says it's so similar to Charleston that there's no point in driving there when we live here... lol. But I've always wanted to go!
